At the beginning I found throwing on the wheel difficult and frustrating, but with Carol’s calm support I gradually improved and began to believe in myself and throw with confidence.
It’s not all about throwing though as there a many different ways to create things with clay.
Carol can guide you through the various techniques and also teach the practicalities of each step of making something, such as drying, turning, glazing and firing.
It was Carol who encouraged me to set up on my own and without her I would never have done it.

“I had no experience of pottery before and am disabled. I told Carol beforehand and she very thoughtfully prepared options than using the pottery wheel so I could choose which I liked. My friend used the wheel and had excellent one to one tuition from Carol. By the end he had made three beautiful bowls! I cut out porcelain clay into pretty Christmas decorations that I embossed with Christmas patterns. I had one of the best days I’ve had in a long time, as did my friend.
